Communities.

Our historic preservation projects do more than save a building - they help revive a community.

We preserve the architectural legacy of our small towns, transforming historic structures into vibrant cornerstones for community growth and local business.

Our Historic Preservation Projects

We focus on projects that do more than save a building—they revive a community. Our work is driven by a commitment to technical excellence and the belief that every small town deserves a vibrant future.

Green Isle, MN

Status: Under Restoration

Built in 1904, this historic McGrann Street bank is currently at risk of demolition.  Historical Brick & Beam Preservation is working to protect the building, secure the approvals needed to move forward, and preserve it for future use.

Our vision is to restore the bank as a space that supports small businesses, community activity, and local history.

Why it matters: Green Isle is a small community of roughly 700 residents with limited commercial space available for new businesses.  Preserving this building creates an opportunity to bring usable space back to town, support local entrepreneurs, and encourage new economic activity without losing another piece of the town's history.

Future Project

We are currently evaluating historic buildings for our next major community-focused restoration project.

Future Project

Our mission is to expand our preservation efforts across the region's historic Main Streets.

A Building Worth Saving

The Citizens State Bank of Green Isle has stood as a silent witness to a century of small-town life. Built with brick that was fired to last, it represents more than just a financial institution; it is the architectural anchor of Green Isle's McGrann Street. For years, this building was the heart of the community, where neighbors met and dreams were funded.

Today, our restoration efforts are focused on stabilizing the original masonry and securing the timber frame. We are working story by story to ensure that this landmark isn't just a memory, but a functional space once again. By saving the bank, we are sending a message that our past is worth the investment and our future is built on these sturdy foundations.

WHY IT MATTERS

We protect the architectural legacy that gives Green Isle its unique identity and sense of place.

What's Next?

The Green Isle Bank is where we're beginning. Our mission is much bigger. We are constantly scouting for the next landmark that anchoring a town's history. These placeholders represent the future opportunities where your support can make a difference.
